TWO ATTORNEYS FIGHT OUTSIDE COURT BUILDING Reported in Las Vegas Review-Journal, 11-21-02, P. 3B A courtroom dispute between two Las Vegas lawyers escalated into fisticuffs Wednesday outside of the Family Court building on Pecos Road. Las Vegas police took statements about the incident involving lawyers Benjamin Childs and Brent Bryson, but who was to blame for the fight remained far from clear Wednesday evening. "I was told it was an all-out fight," Clark County court spokesman Michael Sommermeyer said. Bryson and Childs both declined to comment. The two had been litigating a child custody case before Family Court Judge Nicholas Del Vecchio. Afterward, the two were involved in a scuffle in the parking lot outside of court, 601 N. Pecos Road. Childs' attorney, Kenneth Hall, said he has been told Bryson started the fight. "There was a police report filed, and Mr. Childs will be pursuing charges against Mr. Bryson," Hall said. But Bryson's attorney, Tom Pitaro, said the facts of the incident have not been discerned. "There was a scuffle down there," PItaro said. "It depends on who you listen to as to who started it."
