1992 CALIFORNIA COMMISSION ON JUDICIAL PERFORMANCE

Annual Report

The commission publicly reproved Judge Craig S. Kaminsky of the San Bernardino County Superior Court for the conduct set forth below:

In the course of a commission investigation concerning his off-bench conduct, Judge Kaminsky was asked by the commission to supply certain videotapes.  The judge agreed to supply the tapes, but before doing so, he deliberately overtaped them.  When asked by the commission about the altered videotapes, the judge repeatedly denied the deliberate overtaping.  When presented with evidence to the contrary, the judge ultimately admitted his misrepresentations.

Judge Kaminky's actions constituted conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice that brings the judicial office into disrepute.
